I am very pleased. Finally the breakthrough I’ve been waiting for in many aspects. I didn’t love everything but overall, I loved it.
AT LAST Regina arrived to the point and headspace I have been waiting for. She did pull a hero’s move, reminiscent of the person she wants to go back to and she made a breakthrough and she succeeded in letting the light win at last. I still don’t think Regina can be fully good, I still do not think that she will become the savior and protector of the weak and helpless.
But she finally arrived to the door of what I have been hoping she would reach: inbetween in the good vs bad department. She has too many demons, too much blood on her hands and she is way too broken. But she can become the person who slowly processes her decade long issues. The person who will protect her child and her family, the person who learns that with the right approach she doesn’t HAVE to be alone - but also the same person who will not do things for just about anyone. The person who still has that dark side, who you do not want to mess with. The one hard to deal with and the one you do not want on your bad side. But evolved and out of the terrible misery and isolation that she had been in this past season.
So yes, A+ baby girl, I’m proud of you.
Rest under a cut due to spoilers
and then Lana did that thing with her face and i’m still crying 4 hours later

That when everyone that Henry knew was about to die the person that he wanted to hold onto with all his strength was Regina.

I’m so glad Henry broke away from the group hug and went to hug Regina. Such a beautiful moment. Because even though they agreed to try and save her, it was about ‘the right thing’ and not because any of them really cared about her. They didn’t care that she was going to die, only that they were all going to die. They didn’t care that even with their presence, Regina was still essentially dying alone. But Henry did care and better, he showed it.
Made the whole season worth it, to be honest!
